Who am I?

Drawing and painting since Southport Art College in the 80s. Art teacher since 1991. At Kalamunda SHS since 2002.

The pandemic pushed me hard. Since the very specific date of March 28th, 2020 this is me:

Solo exhibitions include in 2021, “Landmarks” at Paper Mountain and “Between Borders” at The Nyisztor Studio.

In 2022 “Tales from the Bush” at Mundaring Art Centre and “Art is History” at The Kalamunda Zig Zag Gallery.

In late 2022 The Kolbusz Space started to represent me and I had work in the summer show. I had my first solo at Kolbusz in May 2023 (“Water & Time”) as well as another solo at The Zig Zag in June (“Karijini Dreaming”). In August I went to Albany for an Art Residency at The Vancouver Centre and a 7th solo show (“no stone unturned”). 2023 ended with a group summer show at Kolbusz Space.

In 2023 I was a finalist in The City of Armadale Minnawarra Art Show, The Cossack, and Stirling Art Awards. I also had a wall of Karijini Drawings in the Bunbury Biennale (Culture/Nature) and a piece in The Darlington.

In 2022: Finalist in The Minnawarra, The Melville City Art Awards, The City of Bayswater Community Art Awards, The City of Gosnells Community Art Exhibition, The City of Belmont Art Award and The Darlington Open Art Exhibition (Highly Commended).

Also in 2022, I won first prize (2D) at the Kalamunda Lions Art Award for my portrait of “Pat Hallahan, 89 and not out”. I exhibited in the Perth College Fine Art Exhibition and at The Nyisztor Studio in a group show, PCWK 12.

In 2021: Finalist in The Minnawarra, The Melville City Art Awards, The City of Stirling Art Awards, The City of Bayswater Community Art Awards, The City of Busselton Art Award, The Geraldton Mid-West Biennial Art Prize and The Darlington Open Art Exhibition.

I have participated in six Kalamunda Open Studios.

All artworks are for sale. Enquiries welcome.

Thank you for looking at my website. It does not contain everything. I have a lot more to see, so why not make an appointment.
