Collective Minestorm

Be it the materials or the process, or me, there is a beginning. If all of that is deliberately without value, I have a good chance of achieving a painting without context or purpose, simultaneously everything and nothing, a painting that exists in its purest form, free from the weight of meaning or judgment. To this end I work with random detritus picked up around the garden or out and about. My materials are leftover paint donations and charcoal collected from the bush. I work from all sides, horizontally and vertically, constantly experimenting, making decisions on the fly, allowing accidents to happen. In the end there is nothing left to do except to crop, to hang, to look.
